Trizzy – A portrait
Trizzy – A portrait
Photographed in the streets of London, this portrait series shows Trizzy, star of the rapidly evolving UK “BikeLife” scene. The movement “BikeLife” originates from New York and is about community, large group ride-outs and showing off new tricks on big BMX or dirt bikes. In the UK, particularly in London, there is a large and growing problem with knife crime, especially among adolescents. Living in a London suburb with a high rate of gang-related crime, the “BikeLife” can offer a safe community, a hobby and an alternative perspective to young people. In 2015 Mac Ferrari, a former gang member, started the “BikeStormz” movement in London with the motto “Bikes up, Knives down”, aiming to increase confidence and commitment to reduce the numbers involved in knife crime. “BikeStormz” organizes UK’s and Europe’s biggest ride-outs every year with thousands of participants riding across central London to draw the attention of the public to the problem of knife crime. Sharing his stunt videos on social media made Trizzy one of the stars of the UK scene.
